Regulations for awarding the "Dan Simonescu" Award - to a student in the Information Science and Documentation specialty

Dan Simonescu (birth name: Simion; b. December 10, 1902, Câmpulung – d. March 11, 1993, Bucharest) was a Romanian literary historian and bibliographer, honorary member of the Romanian Academy (since 1992).
By tradition, the Association of Librarians in Romania awards every year, during its national conferences, a prize that aims to encourage and stimulate future professionals in the field of information and documentation, interested in getting involved in researching topics of interest in the field.
According to The ABR Awarding Regulations, the Association of Romanian Librarians awards the "Dan Simonescu" Award to a student majoring in Information and Documentation Sciences.
To register, candidates must send the following documents online to the ABR Secretariat at infoabrgmail.com, attention Ms. Emilia Vodea, by August 25, 2024:
- An activity memo
- A recommendation signed by a university teacher
- A paper on the theme approved by the Board of Directors: "Adaptation of library services to new technologies"
The "Dan Simonescu" prize will be awarded at the ABR National Conference in Sibiu (September 3 - 6, 2024) to the candidate who receives the highest score after the evaluation of their work.
