„Spiru Haret" Award

Regulation for Awarding the "Spiru Haret" Prize – to a Member of the School Libraries Division of the Romanian Librarians Association (ABR)

Spiru C. Haret (born February 15, 1851, in Iași – died December 17, 1912, in Bucharest) was a Romanian mathematician, astronomer, and educator of Armenian descent, renowned for organizing modern Romanian education during his three terms as Minister of Education. He was a full member of the Romanian Academy.

SPECIFIC CRITERIA FOR AWARDING THE PRIZE

a) Professional Training (specialized studies, continuing education courses) 15 points
• specialized studies 5 points
• continuing education courses 5 points
• other forms of training according to current legislation 5 points
b) Scientific Activity (published works, presentations, participation in research projects, etc.) 40 points
• books 20 points
• specialized articles 10 points
• presentations at conferences, etc. 10 points
c) Degree of Involvement in Professional Activity 15 points
• specialized trainer 5 points
• continuing education courses in the field 5 points
• counseling, consultancy, volunteer activities  5 points
d) Activity within ABR  30 points 
• organizing various activities to promote the image of ABR 1 point/activity
TOTAL 100 points
